Tina Smith Head Veterinary Technician with Pete
Tina has been with Winston Veterinary Hospital for 18 years, and in the pet profession on a whole for 28 years. Before starting in Veterinary Medicine, Tina worked in a pet store for 8 years. At one time her wish was to be a nurse which she tried but decided that she really missed working with pets , so she returned to veterinary medicine.
Tina's special interests are nutrition, dental health , and educating clients on preventive care for their pet. Dogs and cats never seem to mind when Tina takes their temperature, or gets a blood sample. One of the reasons Tina is so skilled, is she enjoys continuing her education. She is a certified Veterinary Dental Technician and a Veterinary Nutritional consultant. She also spends time on the Internet, participating in technician chat groups, and she is also our website "designer" Tina trains all new technicians that come on staff at Winston Vet.
Tina's family includes husband, Richard, and 4 dogs, Betty Petey,William, and Trixie, 5 cats,, Penny, Mutt ,Murphy, Cleo, and Ma, 21 goats, an amazon parrot, Jed, and several chickens. Her interests include gardening, canning, reading, biking , and spending time with Richard and her "extended" family.
Stacy has been in the veterinary field for 3 years but has had animals all of her life. She grew up around horses and still loves to go riding. She has a very special rapport with animals and loves meeting new people. She is an experienced, caring, technician and we are very lucky to have her on our staff!
Stacy's family includes, boyfriend Shane, and kids , Caitlin, Adam, and Christopher. Her furry family includes 3 dogs, Sampson, Chloe, and Ruger, her newest addition.
Stacy loves spending time with Shane and the kids. Stacy grew up in the country so she was brought up in the great outdoors. She likes horseback riding and she used to participate in barrel racing competitions. She also likes to hunt and fish. One of her favorite things to do is target shoot. She used to compete in competitive target shooting . Stacy also has a love of reading and she hopes to write her own books one day. She is now working on a manuscript for her own book!
Laura Rosenhauer (with Scar) Veterinary Technican and Receptionist
Laura has been with us for 7 years. She works as a technician and a receptionist. Laura has extensive experience as a technician and has a special touch with pets. Laura also has excellent technical skills and the pets just love her. You may not see Laura much because she only works every other saturday and when other staff members are on vacation or need time off.
Laura is extremely family oriented. She shares her life with her husband, Mike, and 4 children, Elyssa ,Charity, Lincoln and Gage. Other members of the family include dogs, Scar , Trinity, and Jezabell, and cats, Lexie, Tara, ,Goober, Fisher, Malachai, Mariah, and Simba.....whew! Laura enjoys spending time with her family and teaching her children about nature. She coaches elementary cheerleading as well as varsity cheerleading. Her husband and children are animal lovers as well and they spend alot of time with their pets.
